Ama Dankwah
Ama graduated from Methodist University College Ghana in 2013, and is currently studying for an M.S. degree in Computer Science. Last summer, she interned at Verizon as a Data Analyst, and is looking forward to becoming a Data Scientist in the near future. Ama believes in an Africa with "home made entrepreneurs", "home made scientists" , "home made technologists", in fact, "home made everything", and she knows this can be done by sharing experiences and helping others reach their potential.

Ama has always been very interested in education development for students in underprivileged communities (rural areas), and in sharing her experiences with her peers. She founded ARAE (Aiding Rural Area Education) in 2010 to help bridge the gap between rural and urban education in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.

She is a Fante girl from Gomoa-Fetteh in the Central Region of Ghana. And, oh, she loves hot bread with butter and chilled coke!

Dela Adam
Dela is an Accounting Professional with considerable knowledge in the food/beverage industry, and has a broad experience in retail business.

In 2011, he joined Healthy Candle Café Inc., an Organic Vegan Restaurant in New York City, and in 2012 helped open its third location by assisting in developing its accounting and operating systems. His unique experiences, coupled with his desire to give back to society propelled him to join Peer Connect Ghana. His focus, career goals, and excellent interpersonal skills qualify him to serve in the educational and professional interest of others.

Dela holds an M.S. degree in Business Economics from Brooklyn College, and a B.S. (cum laude) in Accounting from the University at Albany. He is a devoted fan of Arsenal F.C. and enjoys watching movies.

Barikisu Muntari-Sumara
Barikisu is an Ashesi graduate and a Mastercard Foundation Scholar. With a background in Business Administration, coupled with a passion for Finance/Investment and Social Entrepreneurship, she works as a Faculty Intern at Ashesi University in the Business Department, and at Golden Palm Investments Limited as an Investment Analyst.

Barikisu also serves in her community mentoring and leading young girls to do more than their communities expect of them.
She believes that investing in a girl's education does not only benefit her, but rather transcends onto her generation as she tends to impact a wide range of people in her circle.

Festus Asare
Festus was born and raised in Accra, Ghana. He is a man of humble origins who moved to the United States in 2011. He is a dedicated self-learner and a teacher at heart. Festus is currently a Business Intelligence Developer for Brock Solutions, developing Business Intelligence applications for airport baggage handling systems.

His undergraduate degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology is in Aerospace Engineering. He is currently pursuing his M.S degree in Systems Information. He enjoys indoor rock climbing, hiking, and traveling. Fun fact about Festus: Festus can eat jollof rice 365 days a year!

Emma Shamo
Emma wants to live in a world filled with innovative businesses and people with solutions, books that come bundled with chocolate (or kenkey), and a force field around her keyboard that repels pets and her crazy friends. As a J.D. candidate with over a quarter of a century years of existence, she has a background in Political Science, Linguistics and Classical History. Emma also enjoys volunteering with various organizations.

Emma believes that Peer Connect Ghana is the platform that will provide Ghanaians with the exposure, mentorship, understanding and desire they need to pursue their educational and career goals. When she's not buried in work, you can find her enjoying time with friends or alone while exploring various new interests & sight-seeing.

Although analytical and sometimes reserved, Emma likes to have a good laugh and likes to hear good jokes or funny stories. They also say she's a tease- but why don't you find out for yourself?! Aside pursuing her career goals,Emma hopes to learn how to play a musical instrument and / or to dance!! Lol.

Harold Beecham
Harold Beecham is a Systems Engineer by profession. With over 5 years of experience in Information Technology, he has engaged customers in implementing virtualized Hybrid Cloud solutions based on VMWare Technology, good Data Centers and Networks. He is a focused and determined individual with a good skill to organize and accomplish assigned tasks in Systems & Network Engineering. He is also a result oriented person driven to achieve set targets. He works with one of the most reputable Enterprise Telecom Providers in Ghana, ComSys Ghana Limited.

Prisca Kyei-Sakyi
A Graduate Assistant with the Institute of African Studies at the University of Ghana, Legon, Prisca is currently pursuing an M.Phil. in African Studies with a major in Societies and Cultures, and a specialization in Gender, Sex and Sexualities. She is also a Senator of the University of Ghana chapter of the Graduate Students Association of Ghana (GRASAG) where she serves on a number of committees.

She enjoys surfing the internet, reading and listening to music with her spare time and believes in the concept that "the world is bigger than your small village". From a class that believes in challenging the status quo, she believes in finding new ways to do both old and new things, and seldom believes in the notion that "that is how it has always been done; that is how it ought to be done". It is with this very drive of affecting change, as well as a passion for issues of social justice that she is a member of Peer Connect Ghana, a group dedicated to connecting with, and creating the next generation of leaders and change makers.

Richard Eke
Richard Eke is a descent of Ghana, Nigeria and Togo. He has a B.A. degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing from the Methodist University College, Ghana. He is currently an MBA student at Staffordshire University, UK. Richard has worked with Benin Telecom, a telecommunications company based in the republic of Benin, as an assistant to the Marketing Manager.

Richard has also worked in Nigeria with Translated Limited, a conference organizing firm, as an Administrative Officer. He has also worked with Gihoc Distilleries Ghana Limited as a Marketing and Sales Officer. He is also the co-founder of Streetpages Media Services. He is currently a Marketing Executive at DABA Nespresso.

Richard is fluent in French and English. In his other life, he is a Sound Engineer.
