Ama graduated from Methodist University College Ghana in 2013, and is currently studying for an M.S. degree in Computer Science.
Last summer, she interned at Verizon as a Data Analyst, and is looking forward to becoming a Data Scientist in the near future.
Ama believes in an Africa with "home made entrepreneurs", "home made scientists" , "home made technologists", in fact, "home made everything", and she knows this can be done by sharing experiences and helping others reach their potential.
Ama has always been very interested in education development for students in underprivileged communities (rural areas), and in sharing her experiences with her peers. She founded ARAE (Aiding Rural Area Education) in 2010 to help bridge the gap between rural and urban education in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.
She is a Fante girl from Gomoa-Fetteh in the Central Region of Ghana. And, oh, she loves hot bread with butter and chilled coke!
Dela is an Accounting Professional with considerable knowledge in the food/beverage industry, and has a broad experience in retail business.
In 2011, he joined Healthy Candle Café Inc., an Organic Vegan Restaurant in New York City, and in 2012 helped open its third location by assisting in developing its accounting and operating systems.
His unique experiences, coupled with his desire to give back to society propelled him to join Peer Connect Ghana. His focus, career goals, and excellent interpersonal skills qualify him to serve in the educational and professional interest of others.
Dela holds an M.S. degree in Business Economics from Brooklyn College, and a B.S. (cum laude) in Accounting from the University at Albany. He is a devoted fan of Arsenal F.C. and enjoys watching movies.
Barikisu is an Ashesi graduate and a Mastercard Foundation Scholar. With a background in Business Administration, coupled with a passion for Finance/Investment and Social Entrepreneurship, she works as a Faculty Intern at Ashesi University in the Business Department, and at Golden Palm Investments Limited as an Investment Analyst.
Barikisu also serves in her community mentoring and leading young girls to do more than their communities expect of them.
She believes that investing in a girl's education does not only benefit her, but rather transcends onto her generation as she tends to impact a wide range of people in her circle.
Festus was born and raised in Accra, Ghana. He is a man of humble origins who moved to the United States in 2011. He is a dedicated self-learner and a teacher at heart. Festus is currently a Business Intelligence Developer for Brock Solutions, developing Business Intelligence applications for airport baggage handling systems.
His undergraduate degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology is in Aerospace Engineering. He is currently pursuing his M.S degree in Systems Information.
He enjoys indoor rock climbing, hiking, and traveling.
